Welcome to second grade! 

A few reminders for the year:

All clothing, especially gym and school uniforms should be marked with your child's name. Lunch boxes, folders, and textbooks should also be marked for easy identification.

Gym uniforms should be worn under the regular school uniform. However, if your child will be wearing the school dress shorts he/she will not need to wear gym clothes during these months. All children will need gym clothes for the months of October - April. Students may also keep a pair of gym shoes in their locker all year, if they wish.

Papers will be sent home daily or a few times a week in their folder. Please review the papers with your child.To reinforce skills, it would be beneficial to your child to correct any below average papers and return them to me.

Spelling lists will come home on Monday. Words and math facts should be studied each night. Spelling practice tests will be on Wednesday, while the final tests will be on Friday. Math Timed Tests will be given every week, usually on Friday.
