I am so thrilled to be back at All Saints School as a teacher this year! I was a student here from 1990-2000, from preschool all the way through 8th grade. All Saints is such a positive, loving, and enriching environment, and I am so excited to be a part of the family again!
I earned a bachelor’s degree from Marietta College in Early Childhood Education and my Reading Endorsement for K-12. Later I added my Elementary Education Endorsement to teach grades 4-5 as well. I taught 2nd grade in Belpre, OH for 2 years, and then switched to Kindergarten at Marietta City Schools. I really missed home and my family, so I decided to move back to Mentor.
Second grade is such a fun age to teach. The students are very enthusiastic about learning, are becoming strong readers, and are more independent learners. I am amazed at the progress that children make from Kindergarten to first and second grades. My favorite subjects to teach are Reading and Writing.
In my spare time I like to exercise, read, coach and play volleyball, spend time with my family, play with my dog Shannon, and shop! I also love going to concerts, plays and movies. This fall, I am starting my Master’s degree in School Counseling at Cleveland State. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning together!
