Hi, my name is Debbie Farrell-Jenne. I have been teaching at All Saints School since 1987. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Cleveland State University.
My favorite subject to teach is Social Studies, especially, American History. I also have a great appreciation for the Native American culture. I enjoy teaching the children about our “first” Americans.
My daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren live in New Jersey. I have two granddaughters, ages 9 and 18 months. It’s difficult to be so far away from them, so I try to see them as often as I can.
I enjoy traveling. My favorite places to visit are New Jersey (of course!), Williamsburg, Virginia, New York City, and West Virginia.
My family has an unusual interest. We enjoy spelunking, or exploring wild caves. A wild cave is one that has no lighted pathways or guide to walk you through. As a child, my family would vacation in West Virginia, where many wild caves are found. A lot of happy memories came from those trips. Hearing about these caving trips over the years, my daughter rekindled the interest among family members to start caving again. In 2007, we had four generations of spelunkers, ranging in age from 6 yrs. to 76 yrs. It was a wonderful weekend that we hope to repeat in the future.
