I’m Barb Neu, a third grade teacher at All Saints School. People often
ask where my energy comes from. It’s partly genetics. My grandmother
from Ireland was on the go from dawn ‘til dusk. She was full of fun,
and occasionally, some mischief. The rest of my energy comes from jazzercise,
my passion for the past twenty-six years. I love working out four times
each week. In the beginning, I jazzercised to help me cope with a colicky
baby. Now I do it as a stress release and as a way of connecting to popular
music. I refer to jazzercise as my healthy addiction.
My husband, Doug, and I have lived in Lyndhurst for twenty-nine years.
We joined a wine-tasting group that met monthly. The wine, the appetizers,
and the conversation were always enjoyable. Although the club met its demise
years ago, we continue to host an annual wine-tasting party. We usually
have this around Valentine’s Day.
Two other interests are cooking and reading. I’m known for low-fat
entrees and decadent desserts. Hoho cake is one of my family’s favorite
treats. I continue to bake cookies for my grandson. My little granddaughter is too young for cookies, but soon she'll be nibbling on someGrandchildren are the
most special gifts! They really rate! I have also always loved reading. My
interests range from Jodi Picoult to Janet Evanovich. I enjoy getting lost
in a book.
