The Volunteer Committee on PAC is looking forward to a wonderful 2020/2021 school year. We’ve included a description of the volunteering opportunities that we will have this year and the date, if available. If you are interested in volunteering, please watch your email as we have changed the process this year. When it is a few weeks out from a volunteering opportunity, you will receive an email from: AllSaintsPAC@Gmail.com . These emails will be sent late afternoon/early evening to give everyone an equal opportunity to respond. The email will include a description of the event, how many volunteers are needed, and the date. All volunteers will be scheduled on a first response basis and are always confirmed via email.

October or March
STREAM is for grades K-6. Parents are set up at a science station and are responsible for running that science activity for the scheduled shift. Duration of the event is usually the school day however based on the number of volunteers we’d like to be able to divide shifts so workers would be responsible for ½ day.
November, December, March
Volunteers are responsible for driving all collected goods from the school to St. John Vianney. This is an opportunity that does not take a lot of time. You will caravan over to the church with your fellow haulers and deliver the much appreciated donations. Trucker call signs are optional. Drivers usually meet at the school around 11:45. Approximately 3-5 volunteers needed.
Our yearly Thanksgiving Celebration! Parents serve the students a full Thanksgiving dinner during lunch periods. Hours are approximately 9:30am-noon. Don’t be surprised if you end up wearing some Pilgrim/Indian outfits!
This is a celebration lunch for the kids during Catholic Schools Week. Volunteers are responsible for serving the lunches to the students and helping them to open those pesky ketchup/nugget sauce packets without it exploding all over everyone. Some parents may be asked to help pick up the food from McDonalds. Time is approximately from 9:30am-12pm.
Ice Cream Social (Mardi Gras Tuesday)
If you always dreamed of working as an ice cream artist but was afraid to act on that dream, now is your chance! (Also a great arm work out, too!) Parents will be scooping and serving ice cream for the students. Time is usually in the afternoon.
April or May
This is All Saints largest fundraiser and its success comes through the hard work of all the volunteers! Examples of duties include helping put together baskets that are raffled off, gathering donations for the baskets, putting together raffle “eggs” that are sold at the luncheon, etc… The luncheon has been held at The Patrician for the past several years and it is a sold-out event every year! It’s a great way to meet other All Saints moms, both past and present. Father Kline 5K Run / Rose Wilson 1 Mile Walk
It is our fourth year offering this fundraising event! This event is a nice way to meet people outside of our school community. You don’t have to be a runner to help out with this amazing event and all volunteers get a free shirt because let’s face it, we all want the shirt. Volunteers help with setting up the night before and the day of the race, organize runners/walkers the day of, etc… If you can’t help the day of the race, there are also behind the scenes activities that you could help with like help to garner sponsors for the race,
Love to brag about our wonderful school? Parents/students needed at The Fest to man the All Saints booth. This includes handing out flyers while promoting and answering any questions about All Saints. Shifts are usually one hour and run from 12pm-6pm tentatively.
Caring Angels: Year-round
Do you cook more than your family can eat? Have great freezer meals that just need to be popped in the oven? This group is responsible for providing meals for families in need.
Do you love to bake and have no one to really appreciate your hard work? Volunteers are asked to send in baked goods for various events throughout the year where they will be very much appreciated.

Virtus Program at All Saints School - The Catholic Church, the Diocese of Cleveland and All Saints School hold the protection of children as one of their highest priorities. To this end, the Diocese of Cleveland adopted a Policy for the Safety of Children in Matters of Sexual Abuse in 2003 and updated it in 2016. This policy requires that education and training in the recognition and prevention of sexual abuse towards minor children be given to all Diocesan employees and to all volunteers who come in regular contact with children. This program is titled VIRTUS.
St. John Vianney Church and All Saints School fully support and participate in this program.
Reports of suspected child sexual abuse should be made to the public children services agency (PCSA) or a municipal police department or the county sheriff where the child resides or where the sexual abuse is believed to have occurred. Click here for a list of agencies where reports are to be made.
Everyone volunteering in a program at All Saints that involves regular contact with minor children must complete the following VIRTUS requirements. Your program coordinator will let you know if VIRTUS compliance is needed.
1. Complete the application form. Print and drop off the St. John Vianney Parish/School Volunteer Application or fill out and submit the Online Volunteer Application.
2. Obtain a State of Ohio and/or FBI criminal background check. This can be done by contacting the parish office at 440.255.0600 to schedule electronic fingerprinting. There is no charge for St. John Vianney parishioners or All Saints parents.
3. Attend a live VIRTUS training session and read 24 followup bulletins over a two year period. To register for a VIRTUS training session, sign up on the web at www.virtus.org. After completing the training, a bulletin will be posted to your VIRTUS account each month for you to read.
4. Read the booklet: Policy for the Safety of Children in Matters of Sexual Abuse: Revised, 2016 and then electronically sign and submit the Policy Acknowledgment Form.
5. Read the booklet: Standards of Conduct for Ministry and then electronically sign and submit the Standards of Conduct Acknowledgment Form.
The Volunteer Application should be returned to the School Office.
